Crushing and Screening Plant
Despite the bad weather conditions, including extremely low temperatures in the first and last quarters of 2008, the construction works at the crushing and screening plant proceeded during the spring and summer. All of the required equipment was purchased from Chinese and Ukrainian companies, delivered to site and installed. Two cone crushers and one magnetic separator were commissioned in October 2008 and as a result, the first stage of the crushing and screening plant was commissioned and subsequently produced more than 10,000t of pre-concentrate. Out of this, nearly 6,000t was sold although production from the plant was subsequently suspended temporarily in December. A further two cone crushers and three magnetic separators were commissioned in December and by the end of the year all of the plant buildings were fully enclosed and heated.
