Gold Operations

The Group's principal precious metal-related mining, exploration and development assets, being Pokrovskiy, Pioneer, Malomir and Albyn, are located in the Amur Region. In addition, the Group also has a number of assets at various stages of exploration and development in several other regions of Russia.

In 2009 the Group produced 486,800oz of gold, an increase of 21% on 2008. Group total cash costs were US$309/oz, confirming the Group as one of the lowest-cost gold producers in the world.
