Educational Programme

The Group recognises the importance of developing the next generation of skilled labourers, engineers technicians and middle-managers, as well as key staff at project level. This has led the Group to develop a wide ranging educational policy, which in turn has ensured that individuals are able to reach their full potential, has improved the prospects and quality of life for many people, and has benefited the Amur region as a whole.

The Group has a long-term programme of investing in various educational projects. This includes:

• Providing financial support, books and equipment for nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools;

• Providing financial support to promising high-school students who are entering higher education;

• Offering internships and work placements to local students;

• Providing lecturers for chemistry courses at Amur State University;

• Supporting over 90 Group staff in undertaking degree courses at leading universities throughout Russia; and

• Hosting regular internal technical conferences to exchange experience and spread best practice
