Railway Construction - Rubikon

The Group is participating in the project for a bridge over the River Amur and established the company Rubikon in 2007.  The proposed bridge will connect the Russian and Chinese railways and will be the only boarder crossing to be accessable throughout the year for 3000 km. The bridge will reduce the Group’s transportation costs into China and other Asian-Pacific countries and give the Group a more competitive edge.

Rubikon is also responsible for developing the railway infrastructure connected with the Group’s projects in this region of Russia. For instance, Rubikon was behind the construction of the line connecting Shimanovsk on the Trans-Siberian railway to the Garinskoye deposit in the Amur.
